Fire Escape Security Window Screens
Designed to comply with national and state building codes, these screens provide emergency egress by allowing occupants to push a release bar from the inside to open the hinged screen and exit the room easily in case of an emergency or fire. Mounted on the outside of the house, they include a tamper-resistant frame to prevent unauthorized access.
Fixed Security Window Screens
Ideal for non-bedroom windows such as those in living rooms, kitchens, or bathrooms, these screens are securely fixed in place and do not open. They are designed to deter intruders while allowing for natural light and airflow. Note: For bedrooms, at least one window must have emergency egress capability.
Casement Security Window Screens
Casement windows can be secured in two options:
Option 1: Install a casement security window screen over the entire window on the inside of the room. This screen has a handle on the inside and opens like a door. Once you open the casement window for airflow, this security screen can be closed, securing the window from an intruder.
Option 2: Install a fixed security window screen on the inside of the casement window frame. This allows the casement window to be secure in the open or closed position.
